I have successfully defended my thesis entitled “Dynamics and Transport in Strongly Correlated Quantum Magnets.” Thank you to all my loved ones, friends, and colleagues for attending my talk!
Published:
New preprint on the arXiv entitled “Crystalline topological defects within response theory.” This is my first first-author paper! Huge congratulations to my advisor Itamar Kimchi at Georgia Tech!

I was generously awarded a graduate student travel grant of $500 from the Amelio Endowment and the Weatherly Fund! This grant will be used towards attending the “TopoMag23 – Topology and Fractionalization in Magnetic Materials” conference at The Ohio State University this spring.

I was recently invited to give a guest lecture at Georgia Tech for a graduate level quantum mechanics course. I chose to give a short talk on using perturbation theory to derive an effective Hamiltonian. This is the usual second order perturbation theory derivation of obtaining the Heisenberg Hamiltonian from the Hubbard Hamiltonian. My notes on this topic are available for anyone interested.

New preprint on the arXiv entitled “Control of chiral orbital currents in a colossal magnetoresistance material.” The finalized version will be published in Nature later this year! Huge congratulations to my collaborators at University of Colorado at Boulder, Oak Ridge National Lab, and University of Kentucky.
